MISSION STATEMENT
The Bakersfield Firefighter’s Burn Foundation is a non-profit service organization dedicated to assisting Kern County burn survivors and their families and providing community burn prevention education.
The Bakersfield Firefighter’s Burn Foundation is a non-profit 501 © (3) organization founded in 1991. The foundation is made up of Bakersfield City Firefighters who volunteer their time making a difference in burn survivors lives. The success of the Bakersfield Firefighters Burn Foundation would not be possible without the support of our volunteers. Our volunteers consist of active and retired firefighters, medical professionals, burn survivors and other supportive community members.
The goal of the Bakersfield Firefighter’s Burn Foundation is to help burn survivor’s transition from surviving to thriving. Proper care of the burn survivor requires a long term commitment as each survivor moves through the many different ages and stages of life, each with its own unique challenges.
